Little Taller: How has your role evolved over the past year, and what new skills or responsibilities have you taken on?

Becca:  Over the past year, my role has evolved significantly. I’ve shifted from focusing on project and production management to taking a much broader view of company operations. I’ve been working to improve our project management processes to drive efficiency, increase profitability, and give managers the capacity to take on more work. I’ve also spent a lot of time supporting team growth, building systems that empower individuals to take ownership of their careers and step into leadership opportunities. I love this company, and having the freedom to lead in new ways has been incredibly rewarding. It’s pushed me to grow personally and professionally in ways I hadn’t expected.

Little Taller: What project or client engagement from the past year stands out as your favorite, and why did it resonate with you?

Becca: A few projects really stand out for me:

Sika was a favorite because it allowed us to implement new processes, test our scoping methods, and challenge the team to stick to their estimates. It was rewarding to see how process improvements directly impacted the success of the project. Plus, the client has been great to work with and continues to choose us, which reaffirms we’re moving in the right direction.

Kaseya TruPeer is another highlight. I’ve been on this project for years, and the growth has been incredible. It’s a widely used international platform, and it’s amazing to see something we’ve built being used at that scale. The client is collaborative and fun to work with, and the project has offered me constant learning opportunities. It’s really been the foundation of my project management experience.

Little Taller: Share a challenge you faced this year and how you overcame it. What did you learn from that experience?

Becca: This year, one of the bigger challenges I faced was managing projects with unclear or loosely defined scopes. That often led to misaligned expectations between the client and our team, which was tough to navigate. Through those experiences, I worked closely with others to improve our scoping process so we can prevent those misalignments from happening again. While the situations were challenging in the moment, they pushed us to build better systems. Which is ultimately what we aim for: learning from each project and applying that insight to do even better the next time.

Little Taller: Little Taller places a big emphasis on ownership and orchestration. How have you seen this reflected in your daily work and how has it impacted your work output this year?

Becca: Ownership is a huge part of our day-to-day. We’re each expected to see things through and work through blockers, and I’ve seen the whole team (from developers to designers to leadership) grow in that over the past year. As part of leadership, I try to model that behavior by staying organized, keeping things moving, and stepping up where I can. I’ve led several process initiatives, like implementing an Accountability System, launching an Employee Review Cycle tied to work anniversaries, creating SOW templates, and standardizing our Project Handoff Process. Having the freedom and expectation to take ownership in these areas has made a real difference, both in how I work and in how the company operates.

Little Taller: Looking ahead, what aspects of your professional life are you most excited about developing further in the coming year?

Becca: I’m excited about what’s next. Over the past year, I’ve surprised myself by diving into areas I never thought I’d explore, especially around operations. It’s been amazing to see the ripple effect of those efforts and how they impact the team and the company. I want to keep pushing my own boundaries, stay curious, and lean into the areas that inspire me. Right now, operations feels like a natural fit, and the possibilities feel wide open.
